I’ve taken quite a few yoga classes before, but never with so many farm animals until this past weekend. On Sunday, I went to Kamins farm up in Grayslake, IL for an hour long session of yoga, with the additional bonus of farm animals. Not only goats were involved, there were also some potbellied pigs, llamas, ducks, and dogs. Even super cute puppies! I never knew yoga could be so fun, and stinky!! The sun was glaring but it was beautiful outside, and the rain held off for the class.
Needless to say, while the yoga was supposed to be an hour, it was hard to focus on the yoga and the instructor gave up after about 45 minutes or so. Also, we skipped the meditation phase since apparently goats enjoy stepping on people who are laying down. Who knew?
Overall, a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys animals and yoga. But be aware that there’s way more farm animal cuteness going on than yoga. If you’re looking for an intense yoga session, this isn’t the class for you. But if you’re looking for a new experience and a way to make new friends of the furry type, check it out. Enjoy the photos below and let me know what you think of goat yoga! Would you try it? Have you tried anything like this before? Leave your thoughts in the comments below. Thanks!
